How I style...

The Leather Skirt!

1. 2. 3. 4.
Warning it's pretty wordy!
I've never done one of these posts before, but have been thinking about it so here goes and I've finally got a bit of spare time. I admit it's rushed I was trying to get it done before the camera died and I've simply misplaced the charger, sigh.

I know leather (or fake if your cheap or poor like me) has become increasingly popular over the last few months especially the skirt; so I thought I'd show everyone how I would style mine for inspiration I suppose to those who don't know whether to get one. The good thing about the leather skirt is it's a simple piece often black and plain, so just as easy to pair with certain things as any other skirt, but I think that it's a "leather skirt" makes it all the more daunting to wear.

1 is something I would probably wear out to a meal or party, I paired the skirt with my Motelrocks purple Gothic body suit. Although it's cold out it's easy to throw something over the top that doesn't take away from the dressiness (is that a word?) of the outfit. I'm actually going to a party this weekend and it's a toss up between this skirt and my disco pants with this bodysuit, who knows?

2. This time round I paired it with my plain denim shirt, brought from H&M earlier this year I think, I actually saw a similar outfit from a youtube video and can't believe I didn't think of it before. I think it's the ideal outfit, with a pair of tights and knitted cardigan over the top, for winter to keep you all warm and toasty, keeping it simple as the leather skirt really talks for itself.

3. This is actually a photo from a previous post here, I wanted to show how you could pair it with an oversized top to keep it slouchy and to show how versatile it really is.

4. This is definitely for the colder days, a knitted Christmas jumper with a plain shirt underneath, a pair of tights and your winter coat and your good to go. A lot of my jumpers are longer at the back, which last year really bugged me but this year I think their perfect and I really like the tucked in at the front and long at the back effect. It's like a mullet "Business in the front and a party in the back" well that sends me back to the Hannah Montana days!

Hmm hope it helps in anyway, send me a comment if you think I should make this a more regular thing or?

OOTD - T-shirt and collar combo.

I've been thinking about trying the T-shirt and collar combo for a while and felt this top was just the type try it with, probably because it's oversized! I teamed it with my H&M body-con and tights (obviously, it's bloody cold out there!) layering it up with a hoodie and denim shirt; I have literally 5 layers on here!

An easy outfit, though I admit not the most flattering but I'm not out to impress and at least I'm comfy I say! The pictures were taken at two different times of the day, I forgot to do the layers first time round and ended up doing it when it's dark. How early does it get dark now though? I feel like it should be 8pm when it's only 5:15 I hate it!

OOTD - A lazy day.

Today I don't feel like do anything, I just wanna lay in my bed ...

You know those days when you just cant be bothered and go for comfort over style, yeah I'm having one of those days! So I've got nothing special on but I hadn't posted in a week and didn't not want to post again. The last week I've either been at college, where I get up too late to take pictures in the morning and it's dark when I get home or I'm in my pyjamas on my day off doing college work.

Hopefully I wont be a slacker this week and get around to posting more, maybe I'll do pictures like this on, who knows I just go with the flow. I need to carry round a little notebook or my phone because I get post ideas in the middle of my lessons and forget by the time I get home.

OOTD - “Nothing burns like the cold.”

Jumper - primark oldie
velvet shorts- Ebay
belt - Primark
I admit I've been struggling with the sudden cold, I know no other person who feels the cold as easily as I do and dressing to keep warm, while looking half decent! When it gets cold I usual grab a numerous amount of clothes, bung them on and hope for the best, but I'm determined this year.

I chose my velvet shorts which I have worn previously and posted but you can appreciate the velvet here and my Primark belt which I just realised the little square/triangle things move round to the middle. I paired it with the usual shirt and jumper combo, I brought this jumper last year and may have worn it only once because it was too tight round the boob area, is itchy and is cropped. I was actually going to throw it out, when I recently sorted out my clothes, but something made me keep it and I'm quite glad I did, it is your typical ugly jumper but I'm much more confident with my outfits then I was this time last year.

So I've been searching for the perfect winter coat and have came across the tweed car coat, which is blazer styled, but I'm a bit unsure whether it'll be warm enough for the winter months. So if anyone has one maybe you could let me know, would be great! :)

Ps. I'm thinking about getting a full fringe, what do you guys think?
