Dress - Asos
Boots - Topshop

I love this dress! That sums up this blog post, I came across the link on twitter, i clicked it and then felt I needed it in my life and  it was reduced from £50 to £27 . (which it still is by the way, you should get buying) It was an impulse decision, I normally sit there umming and ahhing about whether I should buy dress, but once I saw it was reduced I had to have it. I love different symbols, including this one and finding out the meaning behind them and why people use them and I have various other items with various symbols on. It's a lovely deep blue colour perfect for all year round, its a light weight material, has the cut out shoulders and its a smock dress. Smock dresses are me in a dress and I have no idea this is the only one I have, I need to stock up on a few! Any recommendations?;)

It only came in the post yesterday and I  knew I needed to wear it for my college interview, I was so worried about whether I would get in because I've already done a two year course there that I felt I needed something that made me feel better. Who says shopping doesn't make you happy?! Good news I have been accepted onto Fashion and clothing level 3 Btec extended diploma and I'm really looking forward to starting after speaking to my interviewee and tutor. I think I'm going to blog about the course along the way and what I'm going to be doing, the first project seems super interesting! Is anyone else studying fashion at college or about to?

Hopefully this is the start to a Courtney who knows what she wants to do with here life!

Lanzarote - a picture heavy post!

So like the bad blogger I am, I've only just put up a few of my Lanzarote pictures, almost 2/3 weeks after my holiday? I think. Lanzarote is a beautiful place, which I honestly didn't think it was going to be before I went, some of the views are just breathtaking and the pictures I got just don't do them justice what so ever!

Finding out there were crocodiles that were larger then a bottle, which is all I've ever seen here, in a zoo probably made my holiday. I heart crocodiles! It's crazy the lack of fencing they have around them although you yourself are above them the only fencing they have were two wooden panels which you could have easily climbed over or through. Unlike at home where there would probably be electric fencing and netting all around.

If I could have been anything in the world, I would have been a spy, a mermaid, a fairy or an american indian; I just have some odd fascination with them and their beliefs and culture and things. So it's no surprise that Texas Rancho a cowboy and Indian ranch themed zoo place, was probably my favourite day and night of the holiday. If you go I'd definitely recommend going for the day and night, if possible!

Like true blogger style I need a picture of my heart ice cubes, right?

Lanzarote national park and devil sign

It's literally this volcanic rock and ash for miles across the park and I was unable to capture just how amazing and eerie it feels driving through the park. Also note slightly terrifying when you're on a double decker coach and the roads are as wide as the coach itself and some of the rock on both side leaning over the road!

Who can spot the monkey?!

One of our destinations was Jameos Del Agua, which was originally a  hotel designed by Cesar Manrique a famous architect, for a selective view. It was then ceased a few years ago by the government and turned in a public gallery of sorts in which you were able to walk through connecting caves at the base of a volcano.

It is home to blind albino craps which are about a cm in size and are normally only found at the bottom of the ocean, however this is one of the few places they are found both at the surface and bottom of the pool.

I'm off .... Once again

So today I'm off to Weymouth for a week, so once again blogging will be scarce as I'm pretty sure they have no Internet, thank god I have my phone! I'll try and taking daily outfit posts, so I can share with you guys, but getting caught taking pictures of myself is always awkward!

Hope you all have a good week!

Holiday: Night outfits!

Our evenings mainly consisted of finding a restaurant for dinner and then going back to the apartment to play cards, our evenings were wild. (please note the sarcasm) Although one night we did go to Rancho Texas which was really good and if you go to Lanzarote around the Puerto Del Carmen area (where I stayed) then its worth checking out the day and the night they host, it was probably my favourite night, I should also add now that I forgot to do an outfit photo for that night. I'm a terrible blogger I know!

Holiday: day outfits

If you watched my video before you would have probably found out I was going on holiday for a week to Lanzarote, note my absence, I had actually done a post which I had hoped would post on the Thursday I went but it apparently failed.

I just came back yesterday from a relaxing, but really windy, holiday. I wasn't planning on taking photo's of my day outfits because I knew they would all be samey and it gets a bit boring but two days in I decided I would.

A lot of the days were in the mornings were spent along the strip and then coming back to the hotel/apartament to relax by the pool, really my nan was by the pool and I was reading on the balcony or in the apartment in front of a fan. Why do I even go on holiday really?!
Although we did do a tour of the island, went to Rancho, Texas which was a western themed zoo and then two times a week they do a themed night with singing and dancing, free beer and whips and lassoing shows, which I would definitely recommend,  and visited the Sunday market.

Hippy dress - Asos
Shoes - Topshop
Headband - DIY

This was definitely my favourite outfit of the week, it's one of those dresses that grow on you, when I put it on I was still unsure about it but the longer I wore the more I loved it and will wear it again before the nice weather at home goes. Paired with my tassled bag and headband I thought it was the perfect "hippy" styled outfit which is definitely how I felt when wearing it.

Has anyone else been on holiday this year and have blogged? I would love it if you linked it down below so I can check it out.
